The 2025 race season has come to a close and it was a really great growth year for me as a competitor.
The season started well, I trained extensively in the off season on the simulator, working on inputs, trail braking and general race craft. This resulted in a vast improvement of my on-track performance. I went from “also ran” to competitive.
I finished the 2025 NASA Rocky Mountain TT5 season in P3 overall with several podiums and 1 win during the year. I ran a single event with the SCCA and finished P2 in class.
I did concentrate more on NASA this season than other organizations so I could better focus my efforts on improving overall. I will attend a few SCCA events in the 2026 season but will again focus on NASA in the upcoming season.
The last race weekend of the season saw my first real “scare” on the reliability front, I was on the last session of the day Saturday and lost a coil pack and a spark plug BROKE in the head. Saturday evening, John Brandow found me a coil from a 2016 BRZ and a plug… Sunday morning I was out at 520am, 21F temp with my engine jacked up out of the bay so I could change the plug / coil pack (love Boxers lol) .. got it done and finished out the season on Sunday. It was a bit of a scare because all I had to do Sunday was enter a time and I secured P3 for the TT5 regional championships.. It almost didn’t happen.
Overall it was a great season and I am looking forward to 2026 for sure!
Special thanks to all my sponsors and supporters in 2025 and here’s to a great 2026!
